Our first stop was to harass some ducks and geese. Neil really wanted to pet them. We had to leave before someone got bit.
Next up was the Lincoln Memorial. So cool up close.
This is the view from the Lincoln statue. You can see the Washington Monument in the background.
The Korean War Memorial. I hadn't seen it before, but it was very interesting.
This is at the Tidal Basin right by the MLK Jr. memorial. If you look carefully you can see a big white memorial across the lake. It's the Jefferson Memorial, and we totally walked over there.
My kids crack me up sometimes. Grace is always ready to strike a pose, and Neil wants to be like her.
At the Roosevelt Memorial. Really, I had no idea there were so many memorials. We didn't even see them all.
On the steps of the Jefferson Memorial. Notice the Washington Monument is behind us again, just in the other direction. We walked a really long ways!
Finished up right next to the monument. Full circle, and we were pooped. We spent the rest of the day relaxing. It was a good day.

Hallelujah for sunshine! And dang, that is a lot of walking, especially with little kids. But how awesome for your kids to see all those cool historical places that most people use vacations to see. :)
How fun! I'm so jealous! I love the picture of Grace and Neil posing- he almost looks like he is hailing Hitler. Haha!
